The True Size of Africa

Whilst lurking the web, trying to plan a possible trip to Uganda next year I came across this interesting image – do you know how big Africa is?

Pinnacle Ridge, St. Sunday Crag

On the premise of a clear day, myself, Dan and Shaun set off from Glenridding to Pinnacle Ridge on St. Sunday Crag – one of the classic (if not a little short) scrambles in the Lakes. Leaving the crowds in the carpark at Glenridding we walked round to Patterdale and headed up Grisedale.

My passport came back from the Nepali Embassy this morning so I’m all set to go for November. I was a little worried that it was going to get returned without a visa as I’d made a mistake applying for a 30 day visa, when the dates on the form showed I was there for 32 days… obviously only a minor detail to them, I’ll just pay for the extra 2 days when I leave.
