Bestard Canyon Guide Boot – First Impressions

After receiving a pair last week, I tried out the new canyon guide boot from Bestard Mountain Boots this afternoon.

First impressions are good, with the main advantage over other canyon footwear such as the 5.10 Canyoneer being that the Bestard boots have much more ankle support. I was a bit worried that they’d just fill with water and be heavy but the drainage holes seem to work well, while the drawstring cuff stops leg flush on your wetsuit. They’ll get a lot more use over the next few months so I’ll pop up some more thoughts on the boots as I use them more.
